Job Purpose

The HSE Section Head is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace within the medical sector. This role involves risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety among all employees.

Technical Accountabilities

  • Maintain an effective health and safety management system.
  • Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to educate employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
  •  Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on HSE performance, including incident statistics and audit findings.
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of operations.
  • Stay updated on new regulations and industry trends to continuously improve HSE practices.

Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's)

  • A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Previous Market experience in similar roles
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team effectively.
  • knowledge of the company’s services to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Good English and Arabic skills (reading, writing and spoken).
