Title:  Senior HSE Specialist

Job Purpose

The HSE Sr. Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace within the medical sector. This role involves risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety among all employees.

Technical Accountabilities

  • Participates in the creation of HSE regulations, procedures, technical instructions and guidelines.
  • Preparation of health, safety and environmental documents and safety plans
  • Maintains and updates the company's HSE manual and HSE standards.
  • Prepares Job Risk Analyzes (or Job Hazard Analyzes (JHA)) for various activities and supports the continuous assessment of risks and hazards.
  • Complies with current government regulations, safety and environmental laws, and OSHA standards.
  • Conducts safety inspections both in the office and on job sites.
  • Investigates and analyzes all accidents and incidents that occur to determine root causes and trends and propose improvement actions.
  • Prepares safety reports and analyzes safety statistics.
  • Develops and maintains emergency plans and conducts drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Investigates accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepares and presents detailed reports on HSE performance, including incident statistics and audit findings.

Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's)

  • A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of Previous Market experience in similar roles
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team effectively.
  • knowledge of the company’s services to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Good English and Arabic skills (reading, writing and spoken).
