Title: Senior Cost Accountant
Job Purpose
performs cost analyses and prepares cost reports, combines different data, and calculates profit margins per service.
Technical Accountabilities
Analyze cost variances and trends, investigate discrepancies, to provide accurate and timely cost reports to management
Monitor and evaluate product cost structure to identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for cost optimization
Develop and maintain cost accounting methodologies, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent reporting
Collaborate with the procurement and operations teams to analyze inventory levels, lead times, and usage patterns to optimize inventory management
Administrative Accountabilities
Conduct periodic physical inventory counts to ensure proper valuation and accuracy of inventory records
Perform financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, to prepare of financial statements and supporting schedules
Identify areas for process improvement within the cost accounting function to implement best practices to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's)
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant study.
- More than 5 years’ experience in Finance, minimum 2 years in costing.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP, Excel, Power Point, and Dashboards.
- Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
