Title:  Biomedical Maintenance Section Head

Job Purpose

Leads our team in maintaining and managing medical and laboratory equipment. Supervises maintenance tasks, ensures equipment safety and performance, and coordinates with suppliers and technicians.

Technical Accountabilities

• Follows up on maintenance and calibration of lab and medical equipment.
• Creates and manages preventive maintenance plans.
• Monitors equipment sent out for repair and ensures proper return and functionality.
• Conducts inventory and identifies equipment that needs to be retired.
• Oversees the installation of new equipment with suppliers.
• Checks all electrical, water, and drainage connections for safety and efficiency.
• Leads a team of engineers and technicians.

Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's)

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or similar field

• At least 7 years of relevant experience

• Leadership and team management skills

• Good knowledge of medical equipment and safety standards
